I have the audacity to believe that people everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, quality and freedom for their spirits.

Stewardship Stewardship

The Foundation recently developed a Stewardship Library, comprised of more than 20 resources for quality annual stewardship campaigns in the local church.  Contact us to make an appointment to review these resources as you consider your annual stwardship campaign needs this year!  Click here for a pamphlet describing the resources assembled in the Stewardship Library.  Click here for help in determining the type of approach your church might consider for its stewardship emphasis.

The senior pastor at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas says that this resource resulted from the realization that people were struggling financially, living beyond their means and saving nothing. This is a 6 - 10 stewardship emphasis seeks to help people redefine their relationship with money and to think carefully and biblically about where we find joy and what our lives are about.  The program could be an excellent "next-step" after using Miller's New Consecration Sunday.  Here is a sample from the companion small group study of the same name.

The Center for Christian Stewardship offers a wide variety of resources to assist churches with their stewardship ministry:

  • Lectionary-based offertory prayers, sermon starters and children’s messages
  • Resources for annual campaigns
  • Resources and consultants for capital campaigns
  • Best Practices for year-round stewardship
  • Workshops and seminars
  • Links to other stewardship resources

The Foundation offers a bibliography (PDF) and helpful links to stewardship resources.  John Wesley’s ministry was grounded in a holistic understanding of stewardship.
